Default help. geting car on the road. major coolant leak!

ok car has been sitting in the garage for 5 years. other than driving it once a month around the neighborhood to keep it healthy , it was pretty much unused. At that time I put on a new radiator and replaced some coolant hoses. Today I fired up and it was driping coolant. I got under and voila this is what I found.

ok so this means the rad is crack or not?. how come if it was new?
I remember putting the fans back from the top and I forced the heck out of it. maybe I cracked the rad by doing so.

The transmission fluid level is checked with the engine running, and the fluid at operating temperature, and the car on level ground....
