853 heads on a 5.3 I'm wondering if putting 853 heads on my 5.3 if it will hurt the performance. The 5.3 is stock it will be going in a daily driver. These are the only heads I have. The old heads were cracked around the head bolts. Dam castach. Anyways what will the compression be at I want to stay around stock. But I don't want to mill the heads cause if I can find some 862 heads for sell or trade these heads for. I plan on keeping it stock cause it will be going in my ext cab Chevy for a family truck. Any comments would be great in trying to figure out if it will be OK to run them or get other heads. Ohh and the truck will be pulling a boat and car trail or every now and then.
