Default Bullet before cutout?

Anyone ever put a bullet in the i-pipe before their cutout?
I have a 404 w/ big h/c/i/lts/ory/slp dual/dual and ecutout.

The closed cutout isnt aggressive enough and the open cutout just sounds good at idle and wot, nothing else. I figured I could put a bullet in the ipipe and have it sound a lot better and then when i need to be silent/sleeper I can.

Post any vids if you have one.

I really wanted to do the same thing. But no room between the flowmaster merge and cut out.

I have a bullet style muffler in the I-pipe area but no cutout. I've thought about doing one though just for the fun of it

I have a bullet style muffler after my y-pipe and before my cutout in my 408. It sounds better to me with it there than without it.
I will see if I have a video of it tomorrow.

there is room for the bullet before the cutout. Just need to do some cutting to shrink everything down to do it.

Added the Bullet to eliminate the rasp. 4" exhaust when I need it, Magnaflow to keep it quiet if the time requires it. Everything was chopped to the absolute max to be able to incorporate the muffler and have a good cutout placement w/ very minimal muffler / floor massaging. Painted in high temp grill paint.

I like the s#%t out of that! When I stated it wouldn't fit between FM merge and cut out, I didn't think of whackin em both down. Gonna have to look into it again. Did that short bullet make a difference?

no vids of the cutout open. You have to cut everything to the max to get it all to fit but it was definitely worth it. All I did with the bullet is cut it back just to where they weld the outer case to the 4" pipe. I ran it open with and without the bullet in there, and with no bullet, it sounded horrible. I have some in progress pics if needed.

Adding the bullet didn't quiet it, but it eliminated the rasp and made it sound deep and absolutely nasty. Really cleaned up the sound and I won't build the exhaust any other way. Best of all worlds. These are the parts that I used to make it:

sum-g2990 (o2 bung)
flo-y300400 (merge)
wlk-41989 (reducer into catback)
wlk-33274 (stainless slip fit clamps)
wlk-24217 (4" bullet)
wlk-41367 (turndown)
sum-622004 (pipe to custom cut to tie into merge)
qtp 4" stainless cutout pipe
qtp 4" electric cutout

My exhaust is straight piped all the way back to the dynomax bullet behind the axle. Also, have a cutout in the Y pipe. It is awesome and sounds really good, only problem is rasp which can be solved by using different methods.
