That McLaren does very well for stock, always surprises me. Has he been to the track? What do they trap stock? Crazy to see his brakes glowing.
Was happy to see the C6 pull a car up top though

As for the GT-R in the video, for how it ran 630whp is very optimistic, as well as impossible as I when I had the same mods I walked away from a stock mclaren and made 550whp.

McLaren is impressive. The GT-R sucked *****, and I thought the CTS would so a liiitle better.

The MP4-12c traps 135-136mph stock. I would say that stock for stock IT IS faster than a stock ZR1.
As for the GT-R in the video, for how it ran 630whp is very optimistic, as well as impossible as I when I had the same mods I walked away from a stock mclaren and made 550whp.

Well, it is what it is. In this vid, GTR lost.
The MP4-12c traps 135-136mph stock. I would say that stock for stock IT IS faster than a stock ZR1.

That to me tells me that the person who owns the GT-R focuses too much on numbers.
Yes it lost but the bottom line is the car isn't making the power it claims. Guesstimating numbers does not mean the car is making those numbers.

Full bolt on stock turbo GTR according to their fast list almost never trap over 135 and those cars look to be making a lot more than 550whp. So how would you of walked away from a 135-136 car?

Those stock engine Alpha 9 cars that make 650whp on a dynojet are trapping in the 140mph range.

No I see they are capable of the 133-135trap most of them are doing on stock turbos but u said u walked away not just won. If both cars trap the same unless the roll was a bad spot for the other car I don't see how you would walk away

I'm sure the mclaren is set up for highspeeds/rolls in the first place anyway. Engine has the highest redline, makes peak power higher, makes a lot of peak power. Has a stupid fast transmission like the gtr and is probably geared for over 200mph and. It should be as impressive as it sounds. Its the real deal. Gtr, zr1, ctsv etc they all have drawbacks, limmitations and compromises. The mclaren basically has little of all 3. Their budget was higher.
Its like comparing the new c7 z06/z07 to the porsche 918 spider or the P1. Which one is going to be faster? We all know. Its a matter of street car/high production/cut costs where possible vs. very little compromise/low quantity/high effor/high budget/hand built/custom fabricated. Hp numbers don't mean much unless the total package is considered IMO. Some supercars are just going to be better than modded "street cars" even more so if the mclaren was modded. Those cars needed 800-1500hp to stand a chance. but thats just my .02.
