Sounds like a killer setup! Those numbers are right on where they should be. It's hard to beat the 224 duration cams for us guys that need power and real daily driver ability. I'm neck deep into my head swap right now and I'm hoping it's gonna pay off when I head to Rapid to have my car dynotuned again.

Excellent! 224 is a very well ballanced cam. I assume this is an LS1 'vette (not a Z06?) M6 or A4?

Doesn't a 2001 Vette already come with an LS6 intake on 01 and later??

Good #'s BTW

Thanks guys, I'll try to work on that graph. Even the owner of Speed Demon Motorsports was impressed and said it was one of his better dyno vettes for this size cam. Yes, it does come w/ a LS6 intake already, but some do not know that. M6 too.

The question that I have is, HAS ANYONE EVER HIT 400HP w/ a 224 cam only setup? The only other thing I think I could try would be a LSX intake....what do you all think? I would love to be at 400hp before adding my AS 5.3 heads!

BTW-after only having the cammed car for 12hours a '97 mustang GT pulled up and reved on me. We were in a slow area at around 20MPH and I dumped the clutch at 5K for a nice display of power that lasted 50+ feet before pulling into my driveway! This random guy said "NO" with hands to racing then. Next thing I know he does a U-turn, pulls into my house and says,"I don't know you, but what in the hell is in that vette!"Now we are friends.

Yep, most have heads and a 224 to get 400 rwhp, but if you just want bragging rights, say you have 400 at the flywheel.

I hit 399rwhp @ 386rwtq SAE at Rapid Motorsports with all mods in sig minus the new heads and QTP Catted Y pipe. I was running a Hooker ORY at the time and had the QTEC open on that run. Mikey said I have a very strong LS1 as most 224 cars dyno in the 370-380 range.

How do you all feel about adding a LSX intake with a 224 cam only setup?
I see these being sold all the time for $600 and I could sell my LS6 intake for $300.
