Default Me and Ctgreddy AGAIN lol!!

Okay guys place your bets!! As some or you may recall i've had a few good races with my good friend Ctgreddy (he is a member on here) who has a ported/pullied 04 Cobra with 3.73's, 75 shot, and about 200 lbs of weight reduction. Okay first of all he just found out that his blower was not actually ported (previous owner said it was i'm assuming) and had a upper pulley only. With that said he will now have it ported and a lower pulley as well. Last time we raced my nitrous wasn't working right, and my motor was still breaking in, and we only had one good n/a race, as you will see here in a minute. During that race I slightly tapped the rev limiter on the 2-3 shift where he pulls a slight lead. Second race is the nitrous one where my nitrous didn't work. Okay so with my setup now breaking in, the nitrous working, and Ctgreddy with another 30-40 hp both on blower and spray, what do you guys predict? Honestly, I think my only chance is to maybe get him on the bottle to bottle run, because realistically our cars weigh about the same with my 100 lb gain from the iron block and his 150 lb or so in weight reduction. Here is the clip from our last run that I was talking about. It looks like I start to pull him ever so slightly at the end of 4th, but by then it was over. Race will hopefully happen this coming weekend, and greddy has a nice GoPro, so the video will be awesome

I think you need to pull some weight, a H/C 370 should not have a problem with an upper only cobra.

You did catch the part where he has 3.73's and a about 200 lbs weight reduction, and my motor was still somewhat breaking in right lol? Otherwise i'd totally agree with you lol

Missed the part where you said your motor was still breaking in lol. Should make for some good racing this next time around.

Can't wait to see this go down. I'm sticking with my prediction of you pulling him if you get a good flow of nitrous going, and it being dead even if he sprays too. Good luck to both of yall!

Can't wait to get some races man! If it's like all our previous ones it's gonna be close. Let's just hope we don't have any close calls like we did last fall!!!

I can't see shaking him off the bottle to be honest. I mean a true ported and pullied Cobra with 3.73's and weight reduction...that's pretty stout lol

I'm afraid you are right lol I've seen some of your vids where you've raced ported/pullied Cobras before. You ever race a really strong one, or one with weight reduction or anything?

**** ive locally seen a H/C stock LS6 intake car with 3.42 go fender to fender with a KB cobra and walk several ported E85, and bolt on pullied cobras. It can go either way though, not every car runs the same.

Really?? Something had to be wrong with the car or driver then, cause that's just crazy don't you think lol?

It's very possible, too many variables. if the kb car was a vert then it's an easy 3700lb car. then consider drivers and traction and what not and anything can happen. My car at 530whp ran right with a 592whp kb cobra, if I would have drove it better I could have pulled away but my shifting is just not the best some nights lol.

Agreed. Too many variables. Your port fix is going to change things dramatically however. But on the other hand, it sounds like HCI2000SS has his nitrous working right now too, so its a tough call.

I was surprised as hell you hung with that KB. I was thinking he was going to walk right away from you.

Heres him vs a forged 2v with a d1sc charger, they thought he was on bottle for that run. lol

Greddy, I forgot about that race with the KB cobra. I know anything can happen though. The thing with Greddy and I is that we are about equal drivers I would say, cars weigh about the same, gearing is faily close, and we have no problems hooking from a roll. Either way it should be very close lol

how much power do you typically gain after motor is broken in?
