Default BOOST LEASH USERS---advise needed---

I just got done installing my new boost leash/pulse leash combo. Already like everything about this controller! Even the install is straight forward. Big question I have for you guys using it would be how do you activate the boost controller when not using the trans-brake. I will be launching off the brake most all the time, but sometimes i foot brake it and also if i would like to tune on the dyno i need a way to engage it without using the brake. As far as the wiring diagrams go it claims just hooking it to the brake is the only way they recommend. Didnt know if you all could help me or not with this dilemma. Thanks in advance.

When I use the eboost2 I'm going to make my trans brake button activate that, but I'm going to put an arming switch on the trans brake so that I can use the button with or without the trans brake being activated. I imagine that would work in your situation.

Ive used a eboost in my car before. With no delay on boost it activates immediately with ignition on. Never used it with a delay that needed a activation.

You have to put it in a certain mode. The controller is always on with ignition on, but if you are in a switch logic mode you can use the green and orange wires to activate different boost groups either instantaneously or on a timer.

Anyways, putting your trans brake and boost leash on the same button should work. Just put an "arming" switch in line on the trans brake wire so you can activate that separate.

Recently when I was on the dyno we were able to use it to make boost without any extra switches or having to trigger it with the transbrake button. I'll see if I can figure out what we did.

If you have the new version, Boost Leash II, it automatically activates when it sees 2psi.

Ok so how it works is the t brake triggers the timer but if you don't touch the t brake then the timer starts when the box is powered on. So when you set up your boost stages I would think you just put your time at zero and not use a shut down stage

Yes, the BoostLeash will automatically activate once it sees 2 psi on the MAP sensor.

You can also trigger the BoostLeash to manually activate by pressing the DOWN arrow button on the controller. You will see an "A" on the screen and the solenoids will run through their cycle. On a dyno you should manually activate the controller this way, and it will stay active until you come out of boost. Set it for 1 stage at whatever CO2 pressure you need for maximum boost.

I recently installed one but been waiting over 4 weeks for injectors and itching to get out and play with it.

For those already using it, I've got a couple of questions:

- How much boost are you seeing for a given gate pressure? IOW, if e.g., you set the gate pressure to 30, how much boost are you seeing?
- Same for rate. What psi/sec rate are you seeing for a given rate setting?

Would help if you also list your setup.

These are my numbers from the dyno. Track will show a little difference. I'm on an 8 lb gate spring

Thanks for the response.

For clarification, is the CO2 column the PSI numbers entered in the Boost Leash and the PSI column the actual boost you saw with the 8psi WG?

Yes that is correct. I am using a co2 bottle as well. On the dyno with no co2 it made 10 psi on spring. At the track we made a pass on gate spring only and it made 8 psi at the line and 8 psi down the track. That was real world numbers so that's what I go by. The chart is still very close in real world or on the dyno.
