How crazy do you want to get? I joined autopia.org a week ago and now I have a couple of Meguiar's Bodyshop line products coming.
#83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish
#9 Swirl Remover
#81 Hand Polish
#26 High-tech Yellow Wax

But you depending on the condition of your paint and your desire for perfection, there are a ton of reaaily available products available that will get your car lookiong really good. Meguiar's Deep Crystal line is cheap, and it works well. Mother's Cleaner Wax is a good one-step wax. (If you buy their clay bar package you get a sample of it, not bad for $15 at autozone)

very subjective question. if your paint is good, try pinnacle soverign or for a less expensive one, try p21s. vic

I just tried out the new Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax. I bought it because of the price, availability, results, and ease of use. You can buy it at Wal-Mart or just about any parts store. Here are my full results:

depends on what your goal is, how your paint is,....etc

just to wax your car.......NXT.......I also like Black magic paste carnuba.

Paint prep is the key to gettting the most out of your wax job.

Best in terms of appearance is probably Pinnacle Souveran. But it's expensive and doesn't last long. #2 is probably P21S/S100. Blackfire and Zaino (although not waxes) both have excellent durability and good looks.

You won't find any of them at your local Autozone, though.

best wax doesnt simplify what it is your are looking for i.e.
carnuba paste wax-p21s, s100, pinnacle souveran
carnuba liquid wax- meguiars 26, carnuba moose, poorboys ex
Synthetic wax/polish- zaino(polish), blackfire, Poorboys EXP, Meguiars 20, NXT

depending on your finish and what it is you are looking for you can pretty much mix and match do get your desired look.

Zaino is by far the best. It looks great, provides better protection, but most importantly, it lasts ALOT longer than wax. The water beads up for months after you apply it. Can't say that about wax. Especially here in the Florida sun.

Meguiars show car glaze followed by #26 High tech Yellow here. Looks yummy! Zaino is nice, but you almost have to put like 1200 coats of it on to get that "glass" like effect.

The top two choices that I see everyone using are "Zaino" and "NXT".
I picked up some NXT for my beater. I am going to try it on that before I try it on my Hawk. Right now the Hawk has Zaino, and I have no complaints about that!

I don't know if it's "by far" the best, but it's tough to argue with your results.

Did you have to do any prep work, or has it been Zaino'ed and garage kept since day #1?

I don't know why the Zaino zombies continue to think their product is better than anything else out there. How bout these for examples of NXT!

Zaino and NXT are NOT the "top two". They are simply the most popularly mentioned on this forum.

The best sealants include : Blackfire, NXT, Menzerna FMJ, Zaino, Wolfgang

The best waxes include : Pinnacle Souveran, P21S, S100, Zymol (carbon/destiny/concours), swissol, lusso oro, Meguiars #26

This is by no means a comprehensive list either, just a quick off-hand list.

Anyone who tells you there is a definitive best product doesn't know what they are talking about, period.

Lots of different products for lots of different things.

I've been using Zaino since 1999. I think it's the best stuff around. Amazing shine and super user friendly!

Agree!

Wax can be Wax if you dont polish first! If you just layer Zano, you will never really get any swrils out and will only hide them.

If you polish, then wax..this question becomes more relavent.

I actually like P21s (dark colors) better then Pinnicle now..
