all the one's you've meantioned are d.e.i. and the clifford, viper (you have pictured), sidewinder, and python are identical only difference is the paint job on the transmitters. the avital i'm not sure of it's made my d.e.i. but i think it might be one of their cheaper versions that work off am instead of fm like the higher up models.

Avital and clifford are basically the same. Viper, python, sidewinder, are the same. they are all owned by D.E.I. The advantage in using the directed piece. Is that they have TRUE FM transmitters. Which means that directed pays for the fm frequency that they run on. Most other companies do not.

I'm using the Python 680xp right now and it has already proved it's value to me twice.... I'm actually thinking of adding on the radar so I can walk away with the T-Tops off without constantly checking the car from the restaurant windows or whatever.
