93 s10-5.3-twin s366s-th400 build thread
this is my first build thread so here it goes. truck is a 93 regular cab short bed s10. as is sits with a 350/700r4, it weights 2700lbs with me in it. that motor trans is sold, and ive got a 5.3 and a th400 ready to go in. 5.3 will have a tu2 cam, studs and head gaskets, edelbrock vic jr intake, elbow, and ls1 throttle body. plan on running the motor on an ms1/msd combo. probably going to get a quick performance 9inch rear end, caltrack split mono leafs with caltrack bars, and run a 275 tire. trucks going to be more street, but I want to be able to drive to the track, and run 9's on the same 93 octane that got me there. turbo set up will be up and forward manifolds, with 2 borg s366s. heres a few pics of the truck and motor. don't have much time to work on it, but ill update as I go.

haha, that's the plan, im getting the motor screwed together right now. more pics to come once that's finished, then into the truck it goes. progress will most likely be slow due to lack of time and funding, as most builds on here go

picked up a th400 and converter today, pretty cheap. got it off a friend who had 2 of them built, this was his spare, exact same builds on both trans. his car runs in the 8s so I know its built well. question on the converter. its a revmax that has an anti balloon plate, and is a 4500 stall. are revmax converters any good? and will 4500 be to much for me? plan on something like 3.27 gears, probably 28" tire, truck should weigh about 3000lbs with me in it

im not sure how to update the title of the thread, but plans have changed. the manifolds I bought didn't fit without a lot of changes, so im going to build my own log manifolds, and run an s476r. billet wheel, race cover, 83mm turbine 1.25 ar t4 housing. got some more parts in. water jetted some tabs out and built a crossmember for the th400, cut out a t4 flange while I was at it. got the motor in the truck and im starting on the manifolds, heres some pics!
