Default Place to buy new inner fender??

Had a weird thing happen this weekend, was driving ~70-75 mph down the high way, there was a 40-50 mph cross head wind.

All of a sudden my passenger inner fender came into contact with my tire. Shredding the tire as well as the inner fender. Both have to be replaced. didnt do any other damage that i am aware of.

Anyone had this happen before?

It's pretty common, but usually at higher speeds. I guess that cross/head wind really added to the effect of speed.

I would imagine the liner is a dealer-only type part and would be bulky to ship, but not heavy.

Happened to me at about 135 mph while racing a new 5.0. Scared the **** out of me. If you search around, it's quite common and you will find threads will the necessary part numbers to get the liner you need. IIRC, they are around $70, although it has been a while since I looked last.

I'm assuming your looking for the inner liner piece that is in front of your tire? I need one as well, pretty sure GMPartsDirect has it but costs over $100.

I recently picked up both the bumper extension and fender liner for under 100 total on ebay.

Call Luke at Lindsay.

The issue is commonly caused by the plastic retaining clips getting dropped one by one over time. Loose too many, and the inner fender liner will get loose.
