Talking 1500hp what system to use? XFI, Holley Dominator, MS3 Pro?

I am in the process of building a 14-1500 hp 427 billet 94mm setup for my car and am really trying to find the pro's and cons of each of these systems. I will be a MVB either 4l80e or th400 so transmission control really isn't needed. Car is going to be used for both street and strip. Who has experience with these systems?

Not a expert here but people have been using quite alot the Holley Dominator and they seem to love the product. Very efficient and you can control a wide different amount of parameters throughout the vehicle. If not mistaking there is a couple of things that you arent allowed to control such as the traction control module which i believe you have to buy at a extra cost. Idk if its included now days.

I dont know if you have seen this video but you should check it out.

PRO-EFI. Hands down, I have experience with every system out there and I have only been using PRO-EFI for the last 4 years.

I thought about the ProEFI but it seems very expensive. I also didn't see a harness for my car and about choked at the cost of the Vette and 2010 Camaro harness price. 1200 bucks for a harness is a little ridiculous.

Unless I am missing something it seems like any of the above could do the same for cheaper.

Haltech PS2000. Better than all of those IMO. Just not a very big following in the states.

A friend of mine recommended this and I am actually looking at it now.

Haltech does look good. Which ones offer a plug and play harness?

Curious how you have experience with the Holley if you have "only used pro-efi" for the last 4 years???

It really depends on what you want.

Pro-EFI has traction control and flex fuel out of the box. Holley has neither but adds auto tune and a lower cost. The FAST XFI 2.0 seems like a really nice setup too but their site is pretty limited on what the capabilities are of the system.

Since you don't need trans control you could look at the HP rather than the Dominator. The HP is very reasonably priced.

Thumbs up Holley EFI - FTW!!!

For me, I have no reason not to use the Holley EFI on any project I have in the future (as long as the build budget allows it). My only regret is not switching sooner. Best $3k I spent on the car (Dom ECU, boost control, Ntk WB02 sensor, plug-n-play LS harness and other add-on harnesses). I would recommend the Holley system to anyone, very user friendly, great support (company and peers), plenty of users ... becoming more and more common. For me, it’s a no brainer.

On my setup (Methanol w/500lb Morans) I got a base tune loaded, primed the fuel system, and started the car. It ran pretty good for a first start up. In 2 mins it was idling smooth and dead on my targeted AFR. Self tune is pretty amazing on this system. For me it has far more features than I'd ever use but it’s there if I ever need it.

As far as I know, the Dominator can control a trans and has more inputs compared to the HP. Maybe someone else could chime in if there are more differences.

I would probably go with the Dominator anyway incase of future changes etc. I hate buying stuff twice.

I agree for the same reasons. I think and HP will do just fine on like a street/strip setup though.

Holley Dom hands down if you want it all. They a focus on what the consumer needs, it very simple system and runs really well that you wont need an engineering degree to tune it.

Dom offers everything you need, Trans control, DBW, Boost Control and Davis Tech offers traction control box.

For that setup don't even think of the HP, go with the dominator.

Do you have a tuning background? The holley has good tech support and lots of people to answer any questions you have, keep that in mind when picking out a system.

You can download the Holley software from the website and look at the custom cals for free. You can even build a tune if you would like. The system is pretty kickass and easy to use, as well as cost friendly.

Don't forget the Davis box will run you $500 or $1000 depending which one you choose.
PROEFI has it built in for free, fully customizable.
