Cheapest single T4 Turbo for 383ci HELP !!!!
Hey guys,
Since I want my new build to be 100% Perfect I decided I'm going hold the build for a while so I can build a much stronger Trans/Rear I'm sure the T56 & Stock rearend will not hold with that being said I found a very cheap 9:1 Compression LS6 383ci with mild turbo cam, Stock heads/intake and tb and I already have my old single turbo kit I built a couple of years back.
My old 347ci 9:1 BruteSpeed cam / AFR225 Heads/Stock intake &TB
With BW T4 ST80 Race Cover83mm Turbine 1.10a/r made 670rwhp 609rwtq 11psi 91octane , Very safe A/F , Low timing I loved how fast it spooled even with long T56 C5 Ratio and pulled to 7000rpm.
My goal with 383ci and new turbo is under 3500rpm full spool and 6600-6800rpm shift point looking for 750-800rwhp with safe mid boost I don't think I will be taking this build for race gas/high boost level I wanna keep it at 16psi since this will be a fun, cheap and easy build before I spend all my money on the new Long Block/TR6060/ZR1 Rear/Brakes and more fuel.
Here is what the old setup looked like the old ST80 Turbo with Race cover was huge so I'm sure we can fit anything LOL.
Old Crappy pic just to show the turbo location
Cleaner look
Shoot away guys and thanks in advance.

I may have made my choice with the help of Jon at Huron Speed
BW T4 Cast 80 Compressor wheel , 87mm Turbine wheel 1.10 a/r
Like I said I'm not looking to run high boost or anything higher than low 800rwhp with fast spooling to we'll see soon.
What do you guys think??

I also have a billet PT7675 and I love it on my 383. Most people on here will say its too small but I say its just right. If your like me and not trying to build a 900hp+ race car it works fine. Mine is only on 12lbs and stabbing the gas at anything under 60 mph it lights the 275/40R17s on fire immediately. Pretty much the ***** for a street setup, waiting for boost to come on NOPE!
