Hello need sum input from you guys. Have 5.3 with wiesco -2.2cc forged pistons and callies rods. What stock head would you go with and would you mill it? As of now pump 93 but e85 is avalible just don't know if I should go that route. If more info is needed pls tell. will have a gt45 76mm with a tick spec'd cam.

799 heads, especially if you plan to run E85.

yep 799s or 243s would be your best bet on the 5.3.you can pick them up for between 400+ depending on who is selling them and what has been done to them.if at all possible do not mill them.you dont want to make the deck of the head any thinner then what it is stock.good luck

I didn't know with flat tops if the 799 would be to much comp. And the 317 would be better or would that kill it to much thanks.

L33 had flat top pistons with 799 heads and lots of people are using them for boost. Puts compression around 10:1, which is fine for 93 and meth, and great for E85.
