Default Roots Blown Alcohol LSx Build

I figured I'll post this over here too. Been working on this for a couple months now. For whatever reason I thought this would be a somewhat easy deal to put together. It has been a lot of fabricating and one-off parts to get it to this point but I think we are getting close to having it complete. Just a few odds and ends left to build. Then we'll get it in the car and finish getting the car itself together. If nothing else, it looks cool!

So much Badassery right there!

If you're divulging any information. What size blower, how much are you over driving it?

Stunning! Just have a quick question, how do you meter fuel flow with that injection system?

If it's like the other blower set ups I have seen. There is a fuel valve that increases fuel flow as the butter flies open. So as you open the flies for more air, it's also opening the fuel valve for more fuel. Very simple actually.

Metering fuel for date purposes would be done with an inline flow meter on the line that leaves the barrel valve.
The barrel valve is the central hub for all fuel transactions on the engine.. I am a blown alcohol guy, and I have been waiting for someone to bring this combo to X275! Can't wait to see what you can do..

What are you using for fuel and timing management?

It's just a little 360c.i. motor with a 8-71 hi-helix. Once we make some passes and getting a feel for it, I'll go back in and add more cubes. I had the long-block already from the previous build I was working on but the class went away. Only thing I've ordered management wise is the Grid box and points box for the mag. I'm sure we will have a racepak on it as well when we get to that point. I'm really new to the blower stuff so I expect the learning curve to continue at a steep incline!

Badass! Dare to be different.
I have a hi helix 8-71 also on a 540 that I haven't fired yet.
Just remember to think backwards. When it comes to mech fuel injection. Your taking fuel away by means of poppits and bleed jets.
You can also use gold NGK plugs to help tune until you just knock the gold off the electrodes.
Nice looking setup for sure.

Bad ***! I have a soft spot for small block roots blown/alky. Adding the LS to the equation just makes it that much bitcher! Looking forward to seeing your results.

Have thought about this type of set up for awhile now.

Ran an Olds Rocket 400" w/ a 14-71 HH on methanol @ 37psi back in the late 90's and revamped it in 2001. Wish I still had it at times.

Not in a few months. Got tied up on some other projects and work. Should be back on it soon hopefully. I'm ready to make something happen with it.
