Default I could burn this POS to the ground....

Ive spent so much time and money on this thing and have no luck at all.. I have professionals handle like building the transmission and my longblock since im not familiar or comfortable with the internals. And first off after the dyno session the BUILT 4l80e loses reverse. So get it rebuilt. Notice it keeps losing coolant somewhere, but its not in the oil. Thats another issue im trying to figure out... But now THIS!!

300 miles on my car and well really only 1 true track pass on like 9 psi. The previous pass the car blew oil everywhere out my knock sensors.. so cleaned it,adjusted the tune since it was running really rich and did a full pass. After the pass oil pressure went down to 10psi at idle...

LQ4 Block 408
Mahle pistons
scat rods
eagle crank
317 heads with valve job
turbo cam
it goes on and on

with a bullseye s480r turbo

build here

https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...rbo-build.html

The pass, just took off no boost at all. Then she took off.

Here is what i found

Thought id feel better by venting but I think im more pissed after reading this..

What is that bottom picture of? Sucks to hear the bad luck man. I can definitely relate with you. I just got done with 4 months of work on my car, and obviously thousands of dollars probably with this turbo build, and my car will not enter boost. Something spark related. Havent figured it out yet, but it was the biggest case of automotive blue ***** ever. You go out, the car starts to spool, and then RIGHT at 0psi, it stutters.

Hope you get a streak of good luck with yours!

and I thought you were cooking spare ribs
bummer, sometimes their trouble free, sometimes you wonder why you fool with them-I do my own trans, engines, etc, so I can only blame myself if something happens
you will get it going

And none of the above is any good without a tuner.

If i was running a t4 setup i would, this just makes me sick. And to top it all off my engine builder blew me off all day.... So im pretty pissed right now. See if he wants to work with me a little and make this right. Built turbo engine with 300 miles running 9 psi shouldnt have these issues..

I'd imagine he will especially if he wants referrals.

This is why my LME 427 is getting completely built by them and run on the dyno before it comes to me. I would start it up and run it into a wall if that was mine.

Hope your builder helps but be prepared for nothing.

^^^ Co-Sign --- Good luck getting an engine builder to accept any type of responsibility when issues arise.

If he built the whole engine up to the intake and accessories then you stand a good chance. If he didn't and you installed the cam, heads and valvetrain then good luck as it could be his fault or it could be yours.

He built the long block, I put on the intake and accessories. Definitely appears to be a bearing failure to me. We shall see today what he says.

That sucks man I feel your pain trust me. I hope he steps up but that is rare if he does. It's prob just his bearing clearances were off which might not cost him too much money maybe machine the crank slap new bearings balance and go. Keep us posted
