Default Nitrous Newb working on a Drag Week Setup

I signed my Chevelle up for Drag Week yesterday and am wanting to add a small shot of nitrous. My car will be competing in the daily driver class and should run about a 12.0 on motor. I took this car to the track for the 1st time last week but had some issues that didnt allow me to make a good pass. Should have them worked out now but will be a couple weeks before I get to get back to the track. Anyway, this car has a LQ9 with a small cam(224 .565 112), 3600 stall convertor, 4l60e and 3.73's with a posi. I have 275 60 ET Streets. I am running 33# injectors and a Walbro 255 pump. I am wanting to spray a 100 shot using a NOS progressive controller with a target ET of 11.60. I do not have a cage so its my understanding I cant run faster than 11.49. My car weighs 3700 with me in it. I have HP Tuners and a wide band and am currently running 24 deg timing. What would you guys recommend for a safe tune. What AFR and timing should I target. What should I set RPM activation to. With my combo will a 100 shot get me 11.60's? Will a 75 shot do it? Running Drag Week is something I have been dreaming about since I started racing a couple years ago and I want to ensure that I am in the top 32 for the daily driver class. Last year that took high 11's.

Stock 317 heads and only been to the track 1 time. Ran 8.53 1/8th but was running stock truck timing and it was picking up knock and pulling timing down to pretty much 0. I had to replace a knock sensor due to a code and worked on tune. Now running LS6 timing maps and KR setings. It is no longer picking up knock and feels so much stonger. Ive also logged my times from 40 to 70 and have knocked about a second off of that compared to the track. I expect it to run in the neighbor hood of 7.75 in the 1/8th but will no know until week after next. Ive never made a 1/4 mile pass. Ive got a bracket car that runs mid 7's but I dont plan to run it for drag week.

Not to hijack your thread but how quick was the #1 daily driver car? I ask because we just completed a nitrous install on our bolt-on C5 and it is 100% street legal and can be driven anywhere. With a 150 shot it should go 10.50s or quicker. NA we went 11.58.

On day one the quickest time was 10.94 and # 32 was 12.08. I honestly feel like my car should run less than 12.0 but I want to make sure I am in the top 32.

I pulled the trigger on a used nitrous outlet system with bottle heater, msd digital window switch, lingenfelte timing retard, and 50-250 jets. I plan to spray the minimum required to get me down to 11.75 for drag week and prolly will put it on my other car or sell it at that point. Trying to figure out a way to mount my switches now. Thinking about making a pendent that will fit in the console that I can pull out when needed. I am not wanting to affect the stock appearance of this car.

I would start with timing around 20-22 degrees for a 100 shot and you really need to read plugs to get fueling right or tune off mph. I would say 12.2-12.5 a/f would get you close if you have a good wideband. Then step down on fuel jet in small increments until mph stops. Then add .5-1* of timing until mph stops.

Also it's important that you run the proper spark plug. Ngk br7ef gapped at .030-0.032 in what you need.
