12 bolt 3.73 to 4.30s?
The car is a H/C/I car full bolt ons and has went a best of 1.56 on a 26in slick with strange adjustables. The car has went 11.3. My question is would 4.30s be the ideal gear since i plan on staying naturally aspirated? I would like to go as fast as possible with the stock bottom end. Even launching at 6,700 rpm it dead hooks and then bogs so bad i lose all momentum. Any help would be great thanks guys!

I'm being told since I don't want to spray it to go 4.56s. Basically it's a cruise around town car but mostly track toy. Would those gears help and should I switch to 28s?

What rpm and mph are you going thru the traps at? I've read it's best to be at or above peak HP rpm. Select your gear/tire combo to match that. FYI 26"/4.10, 27"/4.30 and 28"/4.56 tire gear combos all have almost the same effective ratio discounting tire growth. Check out this recent thread for some good info and link to a good HRM article.

At your speeds, the 4.30 with a 26" tire will get you through the traps around 123 @ 6900RPM discounting tire growth. So unless you plan to make more power, the 26"/4.30 combo would maximize your ET with your current setup.
28" with 4.56s would get you to 123 @ 6750. So you'd have a little growth there.
