Firehawk Hood cracking

My Firehawk hood is showing stress cracking coming from the vent openings on the underside of the hood. Any ideas how to fix the problem or at least stop further cracking?

The only way to fix it is to grind away the crack and to re- apply the gel coat/epxoxy and paint. There is no way to stop the crack from continuing that I know of...
