Default No pressure at fuel rail, but pump priming

Hey guys, asking those who have been through this before..

I searched for a while and found mostly threads with no resolution, or not exactly the same symptoms..

So pulled my car out of storage for the first time in a couple years, ran find the first night I drove it (about 30 miles). Next day ran into troubles, car sputtered and died after a couple miles. So towed it home. The car will try to fire, but will never start and run.

When I turn the key to on I hear the pump prime for ~3 seconds, but get zero fuel pressure at the rail. I had a friend hold/push the schrader valve open when the pump primes and you just hear a bit of air being pushed out of the rail, occasionally a tiny bit of fuel will spit out. I replaced the fuel filter hoping that was the problem, but it wasn't. I also let the pump prime while I had the line disconnected at the fuel filter - it will pour fuel out the line, but I don't know if its enough to pressurize the line. It looks like several ounces - maybe 3-4 oz? But it pours, doesn't spray out of the line.

So my question is, does this sound like a weak fuel pump? Everything I've read about the fuel pressure regulator being bad says the fuel pressure will spike at the fuel rail to about 59 psi and then rapidly bleed off.

I can't find just a fuel pressure regulator by itself, otherwise I'd just replace that for peace of mind while I'm in there. But I don't want to buy the whole bucket assembly if I don't have to.

Cliffs:

- Car won't start, but sometimes tries to fire
- No fuel pressure at rail
- New fuel filter
- When pump primes 3-4 oz pours out of fuel line if disconnected at fuel filter

Appreciate any insight!

Whatever it is the tank has to come out... The pump or something in there is hosed.

Either the pump went south or the coupling line inside the tank split...

Yes, replace the internal hose with this OEM hose.
