Default Fuel Pressure Safety Switch Question

I have a Nitrous Outlet direct port kit being fed fuel by a HSW secondary fuel system. The system is installed but has not been used yet. It's my first nitrous sytem, so I'm still learning about it.

I used the wiring diagram below. In this diagram, does the secondary pump run any time the keyed source goes hot and the system is armed? My concern is that if I'm using the fuel pressure switch on the secondary system and if there is no initial pressure on the line, wouldn't the switch prevent the system from activating?

The best place for a FPSS is in the trash.

The diagram would have the pump running any time the system is armed.

That pump would run any time you armed it.

Regarding the FPSS we went through the ground on the relay. I had one and put it in but my tuner said the same thing as above. They're nice in theory but seldom work. Either they aren't set correctly or they fail and you'll never know it. I left ours in but don't know if it will work or not when needed.

That's the first time I've heard bad things about them. I've always heard it was an integral part of a safe system. I'm currently jetted for a 300 shot, so it's worth it to me to have it. The secondary cell has race gas in it so if the spray hits and the fuel doesn't, engine go boom.
