Cam ?'s What exactly is the difference between an LS1 cam and a Small Block Chevy cam other than the price.

Re: Cam ?'s Small block Chevy cams are not usually roller cams like the LS1; that's one reason for the cost. Any roller cam always costs more. Another reason is the LS1 cams are still new, so companies are trying to pay back their R & D costs.
