Default Code 36

So installed new injectors today because one was bad. Car instantly ran perfect...allowed to get up to temp and romped it hit 6k and backfired for first time ever. CEL instantly came on code 36. Car still runs fine: no ruff idle all power still there and revs fine(no more backfire just the first one) only thing is now its slightly hard to start? Opti is Delphi installed 2 years ago with new gm water pump

Sounds like it's opti time; you can check the pigtail for any corrosion or damaged connections, that might clear the problem also.

Why do you think it's the opti?

Based on the small amount of information given, I'm assuming you're just taking a shot in the dark?

Not really a shot in the dark, since code 36 is opti signal related.
