Default wtf inspect my plugs, they look a little rusty

Usually my plugs have typical wear and soot on them but I've never seen them like this. This is 20k miles worth of abuse. Come to think about it 20k was a little long between changes for me but yeah

Maybe a dumb question. Is this on a 4 cyl car? If this was on one of your Fbodies, were these from the same bank? What did the other 4 look like?

Chances are good that its pushing water/coolent. Might be time for head gasket change.

Out of the camaro. All 8 were identical, no loss of any coolant car ran normally no smoke or lost power. I ran a bottle of rxp through it before I pulled the plugs. Just checked and coolant level is still up at the cap and clean, oil is full and clean as well

I'm pretty sure the fuel additive ate away the coating on the plugs, it is an acetone base "decarbonizer"

Octane booster (MTE) leaves that on plugs.

Iridium plugs are made to last longer, those are regular copper plugs in the pic. 150k miles is not out of the question on platinum/iridium plugs. I personally wouldn't do, but it can be done.

My Silverado has irridiums in it, at 150k I did plugs and wires. The plugs probably could have gone another 150k but the boots were stuck tight on the plugs destroying the old wires.

For my application I like to change the plugs once a year. I don't trust iridium in my setup have to go with factory reccomended tolerance items
