Best gears?? (brand) So i decided I'm going to install some 4.10 gears into my 10 bolt for now until i can get a 9" so i was wondering which brand would be best. Im looking for opinions from people that have swapped them out because i want to avoid a bunch of rear end noise. I heard richmond gears were noisy so what other brands should i look at that are reasonably priced??

AAM will be the absolute quietest because they are the factory oem for gm. Yukon as well as motive blue boxes will also be very good with noise. Just keep in mind that 10 bolts are very finicky and the tq arm transmits a lot of noise. This coupled with the fact that a higher numeric ratio will have more tendency to make noise makes it probable that you MAY have a little noise.
I currently run Motive red box 3.90s in my car which are a little different cut and are stronger, the down side is they are prone to make a little noise. Mine are quiet everywhere except in the 45-60 range on decel only. I'm the only one who can really pick it out and i don't mind it at all. Between the cam, exhaust and radio I don't notice it unless i listen. I would honestly recommend the 3.90s in this case as they are slightly stronger than 4.10's and 1st gear is more useable around town just putting around. Acceleration wise the average driver won't notice a difference between the two.
