It would have been 12562459 from the factory; however, GM changed LSX pumps in 2004, so all replacements are 12600172 (ACDelco #251-744). If going with new style, you'll need two bolts (11516480) and new thermostat housing (15-11057).

Thanks, is the new style that youre referring to the ls2 pump? And if so is it worth it? Ive seen other threads that say theyre the same one now but im not 100% sure.

I'm going to presume that it is likely a "LS2-style" pump, but you'd want to verify for sure. Nonetheless, I'm not sure it's an upgrade -- or downgrade. I'd just get whatever is cheaper, honestly.

bump, i typed 12600172 in gmpartsdirect and it shows the thermostat housing. All other numbers dont give results including in rock auto. Anyone else have an updated part number. I just need to find an oem replacement to avoid an autozone part.

Thanks

So here is the part number for ac delco 252846. and this is the alternative number = 19195105. Just for future reference. Summitracing is out of stock so ill have to call rockauto to see if they have it in stock.

Thanks

You can get ACDelco from Amazon usually cheaper than RockAuto.
