Turbo Camaro vs 600whp GSX/630Evo/134 trap Fox
Most of the explanations are in the video. Eclipse was FAST. It made 530 and trapped 131 then put on a sheet metal intake yesterday and made 596, same dyno. I figured I was cooked. I lifted right as he was at my door, not to be a dick but literally my gearing tops at 153. This was on my lowest setting of 11psi. More to come. Sorry for vid quality!
Edit: included vid of fox vs gsx same night

If that's a "big block" Fox body, it has the most quiet exhaust ever for such a swap. It looks like, till it either topped out or the driver just let off, it had no trouble with the GS-X...
It sounded like a run of the mill 302, btw.

That isnt my video and he just called it a big block but it also isnt a 302. He let off right around 130 he said. He was being very coy about his hp/mods. He said it dyno'd 480 but later that night said he needed more than '520'whp to beat me. I dunno, don't care lol

Anyway, you didn't ask him, or he just wouldn't tell anyone the engine? Oh, and I'm calling BS on that 480 mark, if he's being truthful about the MPH on the 1/4. If you get a chance, ask which gears are in it.

He mentioned on a Facebook post it was a "na 408". He said he had 4 something gearing. He wasnt really saying too much about his car and I wasnt going to press him on it. I know that he had a high rise hood that had a cutout on the top to fit whatever intake setup he had on it.

It was quite loud in person both at idle/cruise/accel. Cant really judge sound from a sony action cam. Either way he, the gsx, and myself are quite close at the moment but I am upping the boost on pump and GSX broke lol
I wouldn't think that was a 408 at all. Maybe it was and the sound is just off in the video. If so, it's the quietest 408 I've ever heard and if he's getting that mph, I'm thinking it must also have 12.5-14:1 compression. 4 anything gears would actually surprise me just as much as the other two things.

Hmm... I wonder then, was the cam really lumpy? I mean, almost like the engine is being shut off between the noise? An engine that size can obviously use a very high lift and duration over the 250 mark. My real curiousity is in the claimed mph. For N/A, that's quite high, making me think those gears are real low and the top end is nearly being reached in the 1/4 or it's basically a race engine being used on the street. Eh.. you'll probably learn more by racing him again.

It was pretty damn lumpy. People have seen him trap 131.
I will be running him again real soon but unless he does a good amount of work he will be covered pretty easily.

131 wouldn't shock me, but that other few mph isn't so easy... maybe it's super light. It must rev well, but with the right cam, that engine can easily exceed 7k. I'm just wondering if he's not sprayin' or something, and using a 373-393. Eh, let us know how well it does. With more boost, you'll have that car covered unless he is N/A and set up for juice, then uses a large dose.

Kid stated it 2690 with him in it. So yea it's really light.
