Default Aster Bracket Belt Issue

I'm installing my aster bracket and the blower belt is just barely touching the lower face of the water pump pulley. It is the LS2 pump with the thinner pulley and it has been pulled forward. I've tried putting the bracket on with all the spacers, no spacers and just one spacer. The belt is still just touching. Is there something I'm missing?

Also, for the factory serpentine idler, do you use the front and rear stamped washer? It says not to use the front one in the instructions but the pictures show it installed.

Mine needed spacers to BARELY clear... And I mean BARELY

I was real nervous at first, but it's been a few thousand miles last year and still working now...

You mean you used the 2 supplied spacers? Or additional spacers that weren't included?

Do you have the stamped washers on the factory serpentine idler?

I used 2 'thick' spacers if I remember correctly... Did it come with some washers that were a little thicker than the others?

Yes I left the stamped washer on

No, it only came with 2 spacers. I didn't have the stamped washer on. I'm going to try that now. The bottom spacer throws the alignment too far off.

The stamped washer and the one top shim make it barely clear. But it doesn't hit. Thanks for the assistance.
