Just ask for a radiator for a 94 z28 and when you get it make sure its thicker then the one you have.

It fits up directly, you just have to block off some unused
ports.

I think I saw, not that long ago, someone saying they saw
(or had) a LT1 thick core with LS1 end tanks. That would
be ideal. But I forget who/where, now.

One port.....and again, it makes a great flush drain.

Here's mine....you can see my 6 inch piece of heater hose as my new fast drain port.

I am going to replace the radiator in my 02 Z28 in the next couple of days. The parts places show the LT1 radiator as the replacement even though its got the extra hose connection. They list 2. One that is a "cradle mount" and one that is a "saddle mount". Which one is correct? I am just trying to make sure I have the right one available so I can limit my downtime.

Same. Direct drop-in replacement and significantly thicker.

A bigger more efficient radiator may cool better but also might cost you some horsepower. If you didn't have any overheating issues with the original radiator, replace it with the same part. It will add some weight to the nose of the car with the weight of the rad and the extra coolant inside. Now if you lived in AZ or something it might be a good idea.
Cooler does not always mean more HP and could possibly mean less.

What farmington said. Remember, the coolant temp of your car is mostly regulated by the thermostat. As the coolant cools, the thermostat closes a bit and restricts coolant flow. So if you have no overheating issues with a stock rad, go with that.

LT1 radiators have a low coolant sensor. you need to get the sensor to plug the hole. also the extra port on the driverside that needs to be blocked as shown in the post above.

i used an LT1 radiator in my 00 SS that i plan on road racing. I just got a generic vistapro radiator and the core was much thicker than my stock one
