I'm pretty sure Lokar makes a dipstick tube for it? It would be much easier to install than a metal tube like the stock one.

By far, go for the Lokar dipstick. Order it as a custom length and be done with it. The metal ones are a serious pain in the ***.

I have a direct fit steel unit. The only catch is the stick needs to be installed when you install the trans. The only problem I have with the LOKAR unit is you need the adaptor to fill it. Mine looks just like the factory 4l60 stick. They sell fo $69.00 and are in stock. Give me a call 281-290-8899

Get the dipstick from Madman, mine was easy to install, and required about 10 seconds to get properly lined up. It has a locking cover, totally factory looking.

i got the extended lokar for my car from ls1speed and i like it. it would be hard to put in fluid out of a quart but i just used the pumps from my work anyways. way easier. i dont have any experience of the madmans, but i heard it is a good peace also.

I have the madman and had one heck of a time getting it installed but I just found out(by reading his post) it needs to be done with the tranny and not afterwards.
