THe back window can be as dark as you want you can even spray paint it. The side's can not be darker than 35% or it will be illegal.

Safety inspections and troopers go by no darker than 21% on thier reader, the law states 35%. It doesnt make much sense. So really you could prolly get 20% and still be ok.

As of Sept. 2003, the side windows (only driver's and passenger's window) can not be any darker than 25%. The rearward side windows and rear window have no limit only if you have both outside mirrors on the vehicle.

Yes, Its 25. As everyone said, rear has no limit. The shop did mine 20% side and 5% rear. They are high volume and do that regulary. The put a compliance sticker on it and I have had no problems. Been about a year.

If you didn't know, tinting laws are alittle tricky You can pass inspection with 20% but can be ticketed for 25% and that is with the recent law change. It use to be you could pass inspection with 20% but you could be ticketed for anything below 35%. Smart thing to do is just roll the windows down when getting pulled over

To the thread starter, I recommend asking around with local f-body owners with tinted windows for the best place to go. The rear window can be a real bitch if not done correctly.
