Default PCM of NC Transmission Cooler

Hi all,

I want to get this transmission cooler. The reason I like it is because it is a plug and play tranny cooler. There is no splicing involved and it plugs straight into the stock lines on my Z28.

Link to Cooler:

Questions:

Does anyone have this specific cooler on their vehicle?
Does it seem large enough to cool the tranny fluid?

Thanks

Didn't you already make a thread about this like a week ago? That cooler looks like something I'd use as for the power steering not transmission, but that's me.

No way I'd spend $150 on that. The install of any universal cooler isn't hard.

Yeah, but no one gave me any information on this cooler or any suggestions as far as it went.

id say its too small. most coolers have 4 or 5 rows of tubs. that only has 2. more tubes the better. and the price is alot for that

That's definitely on the smaller side, on the contrary a B+M 70264 is bigger, holds more fluid, comes with adapters, and is priced at $65.

that thing is way to small to be efficent at anything other than power steering lol. My 70274 is like 6 times bigger than that. Not to mention the place where they have the installation for that thing is directly in the way of all the incoming air to your car. dead center underneath the lid. It blocks id say a good 70 percent of the air getting to your car and the air that does get there will be heated cause it has to pass through that tiny cooler.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I have also come to the conclusion that it is MUCH too small, but they tried to convince me it wasn't, which is why I needed a little extra support from you guys.

Can any of you recommend whether or not I should get a tranny cooler with a fan attached and how much harder of an install that would be?

If you mount the cooler on your condenser you don't need a fan. If you put it out on its own somewhere you absolutely do need one.

That's definitely too small. You need to get something bigger and mount it on your cond/rad. The one 01ssreda4 mentioned should be good enough. I ran it for a while and it was fine.
