Default Why would new A/C idler be wobbling?

My stock (plastic) A/C idler pulley had started screaming at nearly all RPM's, so I replaced it with a newer, metal style pulley. I made sure the back plate was seated all the way down, and slid the outer plate around until it felt like it seated in place. I haven't replaced the belt yet, but if I spin it by hand, I can see an obvious wobble.

The stock pulley, despite it's noise and the bearing seal being partially melted, spun like butter.

Put the belt on it and start the car up. If it still wobbles then take it back off and get a replacement.
