4L60E No Park/Neutral no 2-3 WOT
P engages park but shifts to reverse after a second or two while it still says P

N Pretty much the same as D

I also don't have 2-3 WOT, pegs the redline and I let off, the only time it shifted 2-3 was when I let off and eased back to WOT
Before this happened the transmission mount was shot, I replaced it with a Poly mount and now it's all sorts of jacked up.
Help please, is my transmission shot? I found a 96 4L80E which might be the upgrade/replacement if the 4L60E is going down hill.

Check your shifter cable. It's either adjusted wrong or has a broken shielding or out of the bracket. The 2-3 shift sounds like the 3/4 pack is possibly going out, but could be because the cable. That's my guess. Also check your fluid level.

You guys are awesome! The shifter cable was only held with 1 instead of two oil pan bolts, shifts great and stays in the gear it's suppose to be in. I did impulse buy on a 96 4L80E, I guess I can get that built up for when the 4L60E decides to go away.

Or, you can build up the 80e now, get everything you need for a quick swap when ready, and sell your 60e as a good working unit to recoupe some of the cost. Then you'll have a trans good for what ever you decide to throw at it.
Just remember that the 80e has a shorter OD than the 60e does. Good for the track, not good for the gas mileage...
Thanks for the update!
