Default What's a decent price for an Ls6 intake

Looking to buy a complete Ls6 intake fuel rails,TB,injectors. But before I get inpatient and grab the first one I see I was just wondering what a fair price would be.

The intake itself is a fair price at $350 and a good price at $300 (you probably won't find one cheaper than this). With injectors, TB, and rails, I'd expect another $100 minimum depending on mileage.

I just got one thru here for $400 with a ported TB.

It's hard to find them at a decent price.

I would snag a broke one and repair it, but last few I went after ended up in the mid $200ish range, and I don't think its worth it for a broken one at that point.

Besides extra TB laying around will give me all the pieces for another car swap :-) Have another set of accessories as well from a F-bod.

I think its funny how much people charge for stock stuff. No doubt that it flows better than the LS1 counterpart, but I cannot swallow paying 400 bucks for a used "stock" part. Rather save up and get a FAST.

Hmm my wifes 01 Z28 has an LS6 intake and I have a spare LS1 intake laying around...I think i can make a quick $500.....

Thanks for all the answers, I guess I'm looking at at least 400$ but I'd say its worth it until I can make the switch to a fast setup $$

There you go, sell the LS6 that is on your wife's car and the LS1 intake for $500
And you will be rich like the above post lol. Oh, and a rip-off, just so you know and might not be aware of.....an item will ONLY sell for such a price if that it is in demand. They are a good intake and NOT a dime a dozen. Also, some people do save for a fast intake because they want that extra 15-20 hp, but mostly more like 15hp. I would like a fast 92 myself, but I just can not justify the $1200 for an intake/tb for 15hp. I am cheap.....

For the intake only, maybe. LS6 intake $300-$350, fuel rails $50, tb $50, injectors $100 if sold separate. I sold my LS6 intake, fuel rails, ported throttle body for $625 on fleabay. OP, if you can find one complete for $400-$425 your doing well.

FYI, a brand new LS6 intake manifold will run you at least $520, and that's a bargain price! Furthermore, used ones that don't require repair are becoming increasingly harder to find. That's why more and more often I recommending looking at the BBK SSI intake manifold. FYI, the BBK SSI (brand new) will run you at least $60 less than a new LS6.

is the BBK SSI the next step up from an LS6 intake? It seems like the way to go if LS6 intakes are hard to get and going for $400 - 450.

Yes the BBK is a step up compared to the LS6 and for less money. Here is a great thread comparing the popular intakes:

I hate to say it, but that's the reality of supply & demand with the popularity of 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0 with engine swaps, and the LS6 intake being the most desired factory intake manifold for those engines don't expect to see the prices coming down any. Yeah, the BBK adds roughly 10 lbs to the car(imo, it only real down side), but that easily offset unless your engine is in a already stripped down bracket race car.

I just put my SLP LS6 Intake up on eBay with a starting price of $399.95...The SLP version has the EGR provision for the '98-'00 F-Body for those folks that don't want to go through the expense of the having the EGR programmed out of the PCM and/or need to stay emissions legal. SLP discontinued this version several years ago.

I agree that $350 + shipping is probably a fair price for both the buyer and seller on a non-EGR modified LS6 intake, but since I paid a little more for the EGR provision, we'll see what happens with the auction...
