Question Ignition lock cylinder orange wires?

Okay so my car wasn't starting(2002 m6 Camaro) so I figured it was the ignition lock cylinder. I took apart the steering column to get to the ignition cylinder and for some reason the owner before me cut off the 2 little white wires like super short, and they weren't connected to anything. So I ordered a new one, installed it, but now I have no clue where those wires go!? Any help on where those wires go would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

They route under the steering column with the turn signal, etc. wires and connect to another set of two wires under the dash. If they have been cut, the previous owner most likely bypassed VATS, so the wires they connect to will probably have resistors connected to them.

Well I recently took off vats with HP tuners, and for some reason my security light still stays on. So do I even need those wired anymore??
