Fender rolling issues HELP

Default Fender rolling issues HELP

I have a 1999 Firehawk with 315/40/18 and they rub. I would like to roll the quarters but they are double thick and don't roll easy any tips please?

If you are using an actual rolling jig all I can say is take it slow and good luck. If you crack paint right along the edge you can sand it down with 2000g and apply touch up paint to the edge to avoid repainting or rust.

Try to either heat it up somehow without wrecking the paint or leave it outside in the heat to help make it slightly more workable. It is also beneficial to the paint because it has less chance of cracking since the heat with allow the paint to flex easier.

any more comments of experience rolling an f-ody quarter they are so thick.

use a baseball bat(aluminum) on the inside,in wont flare out the quarter but it will flip that inside lip up so you wont have issues.i used a hammer first then went to the bat.

Use the right tools....Fender Roller. You can rent one from 69TA on this site.

I have my own. Works great with some patience. Have to heat the paint on the flange with a heat gun to avoid cracking.
