Shifted 3-2 at the track...what could I have broken?
Went from 3-2 in the TA and ran a 14.0/76. 1/8th mph was 85 and after that run every run with similar driving netted 81 mph. What can cause that power loss? What should I check for? Compression test? Bent pushrod? Plugs?
Thanks

thats exactly what happen to my car the first time i let my wife take it down the track. luckly nothing happen to it and i was able to finish the race. of coarse i did not let her race it again that time. anyways to answer your queston, like others said, i bet you have some bent push rods.

A buddie missed the 4th and hit 2nd in his SS. We pulled his pushrods and about 75 % were at least a little bent with about 3 or 4 giving a pretty nice wobble/hop. We were going to swap in my stock pushrods but they were almost as bad and Ive never missed a shift . Stock pushrods = week me thinkie . We ended up just grabbing the best of the buch and patching it up but it wasnt easy getting 16 good ones out of 32
