Default NEED HELP noise comming from front of motor external possible pulley? water pump?

My car is running decent but I started to noticed a still ticking noise I changed out the belts and spun all the pulleys they all rotated fine. Im at a loss because while it is not over heating im afraid it may be the water pump. So I haven't driven it since but I hate letting it sit and dont like to pay mechanics for a job I can possibly do.
Is there a sure fire way of checking this without removed? Maybe the water pump pulley is loose and I didnt feel it. Im new to LS motors used to SBC so any help or advice would help thanks in advance

Did you run the engine with the belt off? That will tell you a lot...

My buddy took a look and thinks it is the power steering pump its always leaked and he said it is a common problem on the ls1 for them to go out.

It'll isolate the problem to either the belt (FEAD) system or the engine itself. Once you get that info, there's a little more to do to find the culprit...
