Default stripped mm pedestal thread hole

Hey guys, i was working on my mm today and i stripped one of the pedestal bolt holes. Is buying a tap my best option? If it is, does anyone know what size tap i need to buy. Thanks in advance

If it is stripped a tap will not fix it unless you go oversized. You can Heli coil it or use an insert.

Use a timesert. It will be stronger than the original threaded hole.

I'd probably just sat f*** it and just leave it with 3 bolts.

Nooo, don't do that. Fix it right.

Wait, I got it, motor mount. I thought you were talking about the rocker arm mount.

Still, you gotta fix that thread, Timesert or Helicoil.

Yea I will fix it. Im getting good at breaking and then fixing what I brake. I'm quite good at breaking stuff, almost briliant. Im going to have to treat my car to a prostitute or something for the rough summer I put him through, lol. Thanks for the advice, I will pick up the thread repair kit.

I fixed the stripped hole, booyackka. I found a heli coil kit for $90 bucks that needed a tap handle tool. Then I found a place that sells timeserts for 200+ dollars for a kit, holy hell. Btw, Canada is not the place to buy anything. I ended up buying a 50 piece tap and die set for 45 bucks at the local auto parts store and ran a m10x1.5 tap through and it worked like a charm.
