Default Holley oil pan and dipstick

What dipstick are those of you with the Holley 302-1 oil pan using? I know Holley specifies the LS3 dipstick, but if the LS2/LS3 pans are identical, does that mean I can also use an LS2 dipstick?

Or am I thinking about this all wrong?

I agree, I am only asking because I already have an LS2 dipstick. I just wanted to save some cash.

Look up the p/n for each and see if they are the same number.

I did, they are not unfortunately. I don't have one to compare, but aside from where it bolts to the head or how far/where it sticks up, it can't be too much different.

I have a 302-2 Pan from Holley. their instructions call for a GM part number 12634547 dipstick and a 12625031 tube. i am using this with a 2004 LQ4. problem is the dipstick has been discontinued. the tube is available so I will go to the parts dept. tomorrow and find the replacement number for the dipstick.
