hello I was wondering if someone can answer a few questions I am using a digital msd window switch P/N 8969 which right now I have it set to the 8cyl mode what is the difference between the 3 settings? is it bad to have it on 8cyl mode? I have sprayed in this mode seems to be working ok. this is on a 00 trans am by the way. is it have to be a specific setting? any input would be appreciated. thanks

If it is not on the correct "multiplier" the RPM's won't read correctly and the window switch won't work as it is set. The different modes just change the multipliers. Just make sure it matches what your tach is reading.

Mine gets signal from the PCM and it's set on 4cyl mode. Been working fine for over a year.
