Default Me vs ctgreddy again...finally our nitrous run!

As some of you may recall my good friend ctgreddy (his user name on here) and I have had several runs n/a, and now finally on the sauce for the first time. For those of you who don't recall he has a ported/pullied 03 Cobra with 3.73's, 200 lbs of weight reduction, and is running a 50 or 75 shot. Can't remember which at the moment. My mods are in my signature.

Anyways, it was only one quick run from around 60-130 and was absolutely dead even...and I mean DEAD even lol!!! There will be a vid in the next day or so

first delete your post, then go to here and post it https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...al-engine-130/. 500 crank horsepower is at the edge of doable with well matched, high end heads/cam/intake manifold/headers. However, IF you are talking 500rwhp then open your wallet wide if you want to get a 5.3L to run that number due to average built LSx engines not liking to rev past 7500rpm: cost to get it to rev high enough (think 8400rpm) would probably be in the $10k range where you could simply buy a aluminum 402ci based LS2 and LS3 heads/intake and be easily, reliably making that power for $7k or less. Remember, the under 4" bore of a 5.3L is a huge limiting factor in valve sizes: without large valves getting in large amounts of air is hard to do N/A.

Here's the vid guys! Sorry it took so long. Like rod said I was sitting on a campsite all weekend so had to wait.

And man what a race it was! Rod got like a foot on me off the hit, I got a few inches back with the shifts and then a couple more inches thru 4th and we ended almost exactly where we started. Doesn't get any closer than that!

Looks like another run is needed............One where you don't have to let out at a hundred........

Thanks guys! Phoenix why do you think I should've pulled him? I'm just curious. He makes more power than me and is probably around a 100 lbs lighter than me

we both let out at the end of 4th, no point going into overdrive just to get a longer race. I think rod needs to put a better tire out back so we can do a lower roll tho!
