wow great race. Sounds as if the g8 honked it, those horns are so weird sounding. What's up next for both cars?

Expected!!! No way a G8 GT would keep up with those mods. The V1 is gear very well for it's weight. Now, a G8 GXP M6, that's a different story.

There were so many V owners saying the V1 was going to lose on FB.

Sounds like some need to do their homework. The G8 is 360 hp stock and is heavier than the V1. The V1 is 400 hp stock, lighter, and geared perfectly with its close ratio T56, 3.73, and 26" tire height.

Now from a dig, the race might be better, but the V1 would come around before the 1/4 mile is over, if driven properly.

I said the same thing about them being heavier with less hp, and it fell on deaf ears for the most part. I'm sure the tune is solid, but probably nothing more than maybe 10-15whp max. Not a big step up from stock. Stock would have pulled also. The gearing and actually knowing what gear to be in depending on what speed is what helps. Seems a few of these guys want to roll at 60 in 4th and wonder why they get their teeth kicked in.

cammed v vs cammed g8 gt, they will be close. v's faster from the get go obviously, that advantage is just negated and it evens out when a cam is added into the equation imo.

thanks guys lol

I'm hoping to make 450 whp h/c/i and hoping to get the weight in the 36xx range, it's 37xx currently. Quite a bit lighter than the G8 with 3.73s....

I have cnc'd ls6 heads and a fast 102 that i never put on the camaro that ill use for this. Figured if I'm going to be putting money into a car, may as well be a nice one instead of a rattlebox. Sure it will be slower, but eh... Don't care.
