Default Walbro 255 pump.

Just wondering what the reliability is like. I have had one in the car for 7 years or so and the last trip out to the dyno fuel pressure dropped off at around 5500 rpm from 60 to 20 lbs.
Voltage off the alternator is good. I have to check the hot lead, the car has had various swaps of exhaust and it may have been cut. Any experience like this. Just seems strange usually when a pump goes it just dies.

Have you modded the car recently to where you might be running out of fuel pump?

Are you running any type of hot wire kit to the pump?

The only change to the car was to go with a 102intake setup, and 100mm maf but the basic long block is the same.
When we installed the pump the hotwire kit was put in, over the last couple of years the exhaust has had work done to it and the hotwire may have been cut or pulled out. I didn't want to go through all the work to drop the tank to check the wires if it is likely a fuel pump issue. If it is then I might as well order a fuel pump.
