Default rear gear swap?

I have a 1993 z28 with 3.23 rear gear I have put a vig 3600 stall in the car and want 3.73 gears. My question is is it going to be worth the time or money if my axle tubes are leaking. The mods on the motor are unknown except full bolt-ons and full deletes with a tune which is also unknown. I also know that when I did a head gasket change it has dished pistons. But the trans I blew up the planitary and now have a built trans with a good positive shift. I just don't know if it would be even worth it to put any money in the stock rear if it is leaking at the tubes. So what are my options?

Thats not much of a leak. You could always have someone weld a bead around the tube to seal it up. A muffler shop would probably do it for cheap.
