Default Todd2001SS's affect on me

Just being around that guy makes a person go a little nuts....or so my wife tells me. She thinks spending a week cleaning & polishing & painting the underside of the car is extreme! Go figure.

Anyway, here is a pic of the exhaust & rear suspension on my car. I'm getting it ready for a car show that I'm going to (with Todd) on Memorial Day.

Thumbs up

The exhaust looks good, are you planning on painting the axle housing? Try not to hang around Todd too much, he needs professional help.

Yes he does! And I plan to install a Moser soon for my racing addiction, so I'm going to wait until then & paint that one. Thanks!

Damn, that Corsa puts mine to shame.....so did you use Todd's polisher, or please tell me it's easier to do than that.....( so I might have a chance with elbow grease instead of spending more money!).........

Thanks! I was pleasantly surprised how well the Corsa polsihed up. It looks almost as good as Todd's Borla. And I am sorry to tell you, it was done on Todd's polisher. Taken off the car, 1 piece at a time, clamps & bolts included.

Thanks, I knew that's what you were going to say, it was just too shiny to be done by hand.......(Dammit Todd!!!...... )

looks nice man.

i'm always jealous when you guys post the pics of stainless or aluinum exhaust systems..this "aluminized" 4" mufflex of mine wouldn't come out that great..it looks nice but just wouldn't polish up like stainless or aluminum would, not nearly as shiny, oh well.

I believe it was (sandpaper & then) Eastwood's stainless polish followed by white rouge.

Mark has been a bad influence on me too, now I am involved in having my car tuned, bought slicks, bought the BMR suspension parts, and I am planning on going to the track...once when the tuning is complete.

Talk about crazy...Mark races his beast then takes it to shows!

Here is a pic of Mark's latest prize for Racing...

And the engine bay looks awesome too...

It's bad enough your camera makes me look fat Todd, but with the car up on jacks, I look SHORT too!

And I'm sorry about my power fettish, but with your S/C, I just can't stand it until you hit 450rwhp. A car THAT pretty should be fast too!!!

Rob....hmmmmm, been so long I don't remember his first name. They're from Savage. They need to be re-done. The car was a daily driver until this year, and they were always on the car, so they took some abuse. If I can't fix them I'm going to powder coat the valve covers to match the TB & chrome the coil pack brackets.

wahusker, nice engine bay. I got a quick question for you, i noticed your tb was painted, when you painted it did you take it apart? and if so how do you remove the part that is polished from the rest of the tb? i've got the tb off and for the life of me can't figure how to disassemble it?

erok, I sent it into Jantzer (sponsor) to be ported & powder coated. So I'm sorry but I have no idea how he got the throttle cable cam off, or what he did to it. You could probably send him an email & ask. His name is Scott....he does excellent work!

you need a small torque bit. use it to remove the two scres that are holding the blade into the shaft for the throttle cam.

then turn the cam so the blade is in the open position and pull the blade out.

at that point you can just slide the cam assembly right out the side of the TB. The sensor are just held in by TQ bit screws as well.

10 minute job
