Default exploded 12 bolt eaton posi. anyone run the wave trac in 12 bolt?

like many have done before, I exploded my eaton HD in my 12 bolt with an m6. im making close to 500 rwhp and I was thinking of upgrading to the wave trac diff. I haven't found to much on them in 12 bolts and was wondering what experiences people have/had with them. its a pricy upgrade considering I have to buy 35 spline axles with it(I have 33 spline). so it's probably going to cost around 1500-1600 to do the upgrade. a spool that a friend has laying is going in for the time being until I figure out what to do because I really want a posi/limited slip type differential. the true trac is around 700 but I don't know how well they hold up and I could also buy another eaton hd for 580 but im sure with in a year or so I'll be back here again. any info or pricing would be great. I've only seen the wave trac it self on mosers site for 980.00 and I didn't get an accurate price for the axles but i'm assuming around 300 to 400 for the pair with bearings.

You could sell the 12 bolt and get a S60, then you wouldn't have to worry.

I was looking at that the other day. I just don't know if it will hold up for me or not. I definitely want a posi again because this spool sucks for daily driving around town. I don't see the drag strip as much anymore. I mainly just play around on the street with drag radials. Seems like people really rag on the true Trac saying they've been junk since Eaton bought out detriot. It's very tempting because it's 450.00 vs 1400 (waveloc and 35s axles). The Eaton HD has been in this rear since 2005 and and probably has 35k on it. It broke on the street with sticky tires going into second. If a true Trac can handle street abuse with going the drag strip once a year with 500 rwhp in a m6 then I'd go that route. Just not seeing much recent info on them. Everything's from 2007 lol

This is why I got rid of mine. Broke it 3 times >$$$. Sold it to a buddy that put a True Trac(slack) and he hates it. My vote is for a S60 if you have the cash.

Mine has been great, and the truck guys seem to love them. I'm rolling the dice on it and so far its paid off.
