They make around 360-370 rwhp and weigh about 100 lbs more than the 3 valve. Toss in some gears, a good tune, and a driver mod it doesn't really surprise me

Say what, a shitty 5.0 driver?
Meanwhile, your brother's car traps how fast? I am guessing at least 5mph slower than a stock 5.0.

could be anything...**** driver (see that a lot), poor traction, leaving traction control on or only partially turning it off, etc

with a decent driver and even half *** prep on track they should run 12s

Main problem with stockish 5.0s is that the factory outfitted them with such horrific tires. Those 235 pirellis are way to narrow and not sticky at all. My buddies 14 5.0 with intake, tune, axle back will roast them in 1st, 2nd, and into 3rd if your too lead foot. Tire upgrade is huge for them.

I'm talking quarter mile, not a retarded 1/8th mile.
And notice that despite running a slower time, he still has a higher trap. Which means that if he could hook and drive, he'd be even faster. Maybe 5mph more even in the 1/8th.
Bad troll, slow 3 valve.

Didnt we already have a member that created a thread titled the exact same as this one? Also, this OP and the other thread's OP was practically exactly the same....

Coincidence?

Being proud of a 8.8 is hilarious. 3-valve mustang problems. Go to a 1/4 mile and run 14s.
