Default to high of compression if...

I have a truck 5.3, but want to swap blocks for a 5.7 ls1 block...and since the 5.3 heads raise compression for you ls1 guys, I was wondering how high compression would be....

Will I have to retard timing at all?

thanks for your help guys.

Stock 5.3L heads on a Stock LS1 I believe will put the compression right at 10.7:1.
